Scheduling everything is impossible, but we can still try!

2011 School days are almost here for us! I spent all afternoon trying to make a 5th grade study schedule for David. I wanted to include every subject recommended in The Well Trained Mind by Susan Wise Bauer. It is a FANTASTIC home educating resource.
While I was still working on the schedule I told David that I was having a hard time figuring out how to teach him Spanish AND Latin. Both are highly recommended by this favorite author. David begged me not to cut one of these subjects. He has brought up this topic several times just to make sure I am allowing him to study these languages. He said, "If you can't fit it into my school day, just make my school longer." Thank you homeschooling for allowing my children to retain their natural curiosity and love of learning!
I am so thankful to Heavenly Father for giving me strength and helping me through the hard days. I am thankful for my parents who taught me and teach me still. I am grateful for my kind, sweet, amazing husband for supporting me in homeschooling. I am grateful to have too many fantastic curriculums at my disposal to use in educating my children. Life is good and I feel so blessed.
Btw, I worked so hard on my schedules, I think I will post them for anyone curious about our homeschool days.
Happy teaching to all of the parents out there!
